Remme Family Vacation

Every summer we plan a mini vacation getaway

with my family. 

This year we spent a few days near Grand Rapids

at Loon's Landing Resort.

What an incredible place for families!

The cabins were amazing.

The lake and beach were perfect.

Beautiful, fun, and relaxing!

 Brynlee has grown to like the grass.

She loves crawling around and exploring.

 The resort had an endless amount of toys for the kids.

Cohen loved pretending he could surf.

 A little wrestling match with daddy!

We had such a wonderful weekend!  

Can't wait to do it again next summer!

Brynlee's 9 month update...

I am a little behind on Brynlee's 9 month stats.

So here goes...

Last week she had her 9 month check up with the doctor.

She is one healthy little girl.

18 lbs 5 oz. (51%)

27 3/4 inches (51%)

45 cm head circumference (77%)

She is very average size for her age.

What is Brynlee doing?!

Here are some of her highlights from the last month.

~Brynlee is crawling!!!

~She is all over the place and she goes fast.

~She is pulling herself up on anything and everything.

~She will stand on her own for a few seconds 

before falling to the ground.

~She continues to stick out her tongue often.

We call her the "snake."

~She claps her hands when we say yay.

~She is working really hard on "so big."

~Brynlee continues to make lots of sounds and noises.

She is very aware what mama, daddy, and bottle mean. 

Not quite saying them yet though.

~Brynlee does not have any consistency with sleeping.

One night she sleeps through the night and

the next she is up twice overnight.

Hopefully she finds her groove soon!

~Brynlee is on all table food now.

She will eat anything.

There is nothing she doesn't like!

~Brynlee has made the change to formula.

She is doing great with bottles. 

~On her 9 month birthday she popped her top eye tooth!

With three more on the way!

And sooooo much fun right now!

Can't get enough of her smiles.

The End of Summer

Yesterday marked the end of another great summer!

I went back to work yesterday 

which means the kiddos head back to daycare.

We started a new daycare yesterday.

Both kids had an amazing time with their new friends!

And they loved Kari, their new babysitter.

We look forward to spending the year with Kari.

I will miss spending my days 

with my little love bugs.

But knowing their in good hands makes it 

so much easier to head back to work.

Our summer memories have been awesome!

Until next summer...

One Happy Little Boy!

For the last two years

Cohen has been peanut free.

At about 18 months old,

we began noticing that Cohen would react

to peanut products when he would eat them.

He would break out in a rash around his mouth

and on his face.

It was never severe,

but enough for us to be concerned.

He saw an allergy specialist 

where he was diagnosed with a peanut allergy.

We have had yearly check ups

to monitor the allergy.

This year when they tested him,

both his skin test and blood test came back negative.

A great sign!

With this came the challenge...

Reintroduce him to peanut products and 

see how he would react.

On Tuesday we had our "challenge day."

He passed his challenge!!

No reaction at all to any of the peanut products!

When he ate a spoonful of peanut butter,

he sat quietly for a second and then said 

"Ummm...I like it!"

The poor kid has been wanting to try peanut butter

for a long time now!

We are so thankful that he has been given

the okay to eat peanut products!

(The blue hair is because he also got a hair cut that day.)

9 months old!

This little girl is 9 months today!  

She is a complete wiggle worm these days.

All over the place.

If you couldn't tell by the picture.

We have her 9 month check up next week.

Love being able to spend my summer with these kiddos.

As summer comes to a close and I look back on these pictures,

it reminds me of how lucky I am to have these

two sweeties in my life!

Three years later...

Again we camped at Mora, MN.

Brynlee is the same age now that Cohen was three years ago

when we camped at the resort.

So I had to get a picture!

What do you think?!

Do they look alike?

Cohen is definitely bigger then Brynlee!

That is one thing I know for sure.

But I see similarities!

Definitely brother and sister.
