Sleepover with the Bakers

Eric and I spent Friday night with the Baker kids (no Amanda though). We started the night out by taking a trip to McDonald's. We enjoyed cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, and fries. Highly nutritious:) Izzy was a little bummed that there was no playland in the McDonald's...I was a little shocked myself that there wasn't one. I guess the new McDonald's don't have them anymore. Come on...that is the best part about going! After McDonald's we headed back to our house to play. The kids ran off some energy downstairs as they played tag and hide and seek. We also played some good ole "Go Fish."
After the kids got their running out, we got our pajamas on and sat down to watch "Open Season 2." Cute movie. The kids giggled throughout (and so did Eric.)

Popcorn is a must when watching a movie!!!

Eric and I loved having the kids over! Hopefully they had as much fun as we did:)

Long over due

Well...the Chap's have not had a lot of excitement in the last couple weeks. However, I have been getting some flack (Heidi) for not updating my blog:)

Life is pretty relaxed and low key for Eric and I right now. We are really enjoying not being crazy busy!!!

I am thrilled to be in my final class for my master's program. I have finished with my master's paper. I am on the downhill slide. Finish my class...then onto putting my portfolio together. I plan to present my paper/portfolio in March!!!! YAY!!!

Eric has been busy helping out family. Eric's dad and step mom recently purchased a new home. Eric along with the rest of the Chap crew has been hard at work painting and cleaning the house. Eric has also started helping my brother and Erin with their basement. In one day, Eric, Josh, and my dad had the basement walls framed. Eric...he is such a handy man! Gotta love him for that.

This Friday we look forward to having the Baker nieces and nephews over for the night. That will be a night of fun for Eric and I!

Pheasant Hunting in South Dakota

Eric started the new year off with a hunting trip to South Dakota. Him and 10 other guys left on Thursday afternoon. Hunting was great...weather not so great! Friday the guys got about 40 birds. Chase and Sasha both did a great job! Saturday they shot another 40 or so birds, but did it in a blizzard. All in all...a good trip for hunting. And a little fun too!

Meeting Baby Donovan

We have a new addition to our family of friends! Gina and Tim had a beautiful baby boy, Donovan Scott, on December 14.

Darcy, Rachel, and I made the trip to Milwaukee on Thursday. We stayed with Darcy's parents near Milwaukee. Gina and baby Donovan came and spent Friday night with us. Alyssa also came up from Chicago.

Rach, Darcy, and I made a plan to use a timer in order to stay on time for getting turns to hold the baby. I got to hold Donovan first since I drove:) YAY! He is so precious. Just a little bundle of joy! We spent the whole day ooohhhing over Donovan! He is just so darn cute. For a little bit while Donovan slept, we played some games and enjoyed a yummy meal that Julie made us.

Being with Donovan made me want to have a little one in our house all the more! Hopefully someday soon!
It was great to see the girls as always! And it was amazing to meet little Donovan!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

We celebrated the last night of 2008 with our friends and family. It was a great night of eating, music, and dancing. A great way to bring in the year of 2009.

As we go into the new year, Eric and I are off to a busy start. Eric is heading to South Dakota today with Chase and Sasha to do some pheasant hunting. Him and 11 others will be in SD until Sunday. As Eric heads east, I will be heading west to Milwalkee with Darcy and Rachel to visit Gina and her new little arrival Donovan!

An exciting way to start the year!
As we look into 2009, we have many things to look forward to.
Happy New Year!
