Mud?!?

Most boys love to splash in puddles, find mud, and get dirty!
Well...Cohen is no different!
I think he attracts puddles and mud.
He would wear his mud boots everyday if I let him.
This sequence of pictures will explain
his love for puddles and mud!
(And notice he has his mud boots on.  How convenient!)

1) Cohen has found a mud puddle!
 2) Checking out the mud puddle.
 3.) Hey mom...look a mud puddle!
4.) I am going to just try out my mud boots a little...
 5.) Or maybe a lot!
Water and mud that go above his mud boots...sweet!
6.) And now I think I will swing through the puddle.
 7.) DONE!
And then he was finished playing in the mud puddle.
Soaked with water and mud...but a huge smile on his face.

The simple things that can be so much fun!
Gotta love it!

The end to another fabulous year!

Another school year has come to an end!
Which means the end of a great year
for Cohen with his daycare friends.
Makenzie treated the kiddos to a McDonald's trip
for their last day celebration together.
The kids were soooo excited.
They had so much fun playing together
in the jungle gym at McDonald's.
What a very special treat!!!
After taking quite a few pictures
this seemed to be the best one.
Cohen must have been smiling for another camera :)
I can only imagine how hard it is to get
four children to look at the camera and smile.
Pretty cute picture!
 Playing in the jungle gym.
Cohen and Makenzie!

How lucky we are!
Makenzie is absolutely wonderful.
Couldn't ask for anything better.
Cohen loves her and so do we!!!

Until next year...

Mission Complete

We officially have a potty trained little boy!
As of the 1st week of May,
Cohen has been wearing underwear with no accidents!
...
Cohen went potty for the 1st time on a potty chair
last June at 19 months.
Of course we knew that was a fluke and
wouldn't be that easy.
He went off and on from last summer
until about Christmas time very inconsistently.
After Christmas he really started taking interest
in underwear and going on the "potty."
It wasn't until April though that it really clicked.
One day he just didn't want to wear diapers anymore.
I attribute a lot of his interest in potty training
to his little buddies at daycare who were also
learning to use the potty chair.
It helped him to see his little friends doing it!
...
I hate to say this because nothing is ever "easy," but...
potty training was not as hard as I had thought it would be.
Yay!
Here he is in his "big boy" undies.
Reading a magazine...just like his dad!

Keep up the great work buddy!!!

A growing belly

A couple of belly pictures!
 7 weeks
14 weeks

I am about 17 weeks now and
my belly is a lot larger.
It has grown significantly in the last few weeks!
My belly has grown a lot faster this time around
then with Cohen.
Hopefully it slows down a bit soon :)
