Christmas 2016

We had a wonderful Christmas!
Christmas started out with the Remme families
coming out to our house to celebrate Christmas.
They came out Friday night and spent the night.
We had a delicious meal that evening and then opened presents.
We ended the evening with a movie.
The next morning we enjoyed a yummy breakfast that Eric made
and then got crafty with gingerbread houses!
What a fun yet relaxing time!

On Christmas Eve we went to church.
The church service was beautiful!
From church we headed over to Eric's dad's
to celebrate with the Chap family.
We had lots of delicious appetizers and food to munch on!
We had a blast doing our letter "E" gift exchange.
It is always fun to see the creativity and what everyone gets.
Another lovely Christmas!
So much fun!!

Christmas Celebrations!

Last weekend was a fun-filled weekend
of family celebrations!
On Saturday we had Chap Family Christmas.
Our Chap family hosted the party this year.
Of course we had a ton of delicious food,
the dice game, and lots of giggles and good conversation.
It is always great to see everyone!
 Great grandma Val!

On Sunday we spent the afternoon
with Grandma Pokornowski.
We listened to the bells playing Christmas music,
Izzy playing the piano, yummy treats,
and a wonderful time visiting Grandma P.

 Brynlee loved Grandma P!

Such an enjoyable weekend!
So nice to spend time with family.

Visit with Santa

We made our annual trip to visit Santa
this past weekend.
Both Cohen and Brynlee were very excited to see Santa.
I thought this was the year that both kids
were going to sit on Santa's lap with big smiles.
Haha!  NOT!
Brynlee wasn't having anything to do with Santa.
She wouldn't sit on his lap, she wouldn't stand by him,
she wouldn't even sit by Cohen.
So the best we could do was a picture with mom too.
And as you can see by Brynlee's face
she wasn't really all that excited about Santa.
Cohen on the other hand enjoyed getting to talk to Santa.
He asked for some good things this year.
Legos, rollerblades, toy cars, a drum (nope)...
Brynlee told me to tell Santa she wants Barbies.
Lots of Barbies.
I got a little smile from Brynlee after
we were done visiting Santa.
There is always next year, right?!  :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

All last week Cohen counted down the days
until we were able to put up our Christmas tree!
It is so fun being able to watch the joy in the kids eyes
about the excitement of Christmas.

I am beginning to get around a little more on my own,
but I am still not able to do a ton.
My mom and dad came up this past weekend
to help me clean the house
and decorate for Christmas!
I am so thankful they were able to help.

So Sunday was spent taking out the Christmas decorations,
putting up the trees and decorating them,
and listening to Christmas music.
Cohen and Brynlee were awesome little helpers!
They helped to decorate both trees.
The downstairs tree is all of the kids ornaments
and even some of mine and Eric's from when we were young.

Cohen was so excited to put the star on the tree!

The kiddos with my mom and dad.
What a fun day spent together
getting our house ready for Christmas.
I am enjoying every minute of all of the beautiful
Christmas decor surrounding me!
I could stare at my tree all night.

It really is the most wonderful time of the year!
