Getting ready for Halloween!

We have had lots of fun getting ready for Halloween!
We got to frost pumpkin cookies... twice!
At my mom and dad's last weekend
Cohen and Carter frosted some cookies,
but mostly ate the frosting.

Look how hard Carter is concentrating...
tongue hanging out and everything!
Ha!  Love it!
We also frosted cookies at our house.
He basically ate the sprinkles...
 And the frosting!  Ewwww!
 We carved pumpkins too.
Cohen wanted to color on the pumpkins.
He took one look inside the pumpkin
and said "yucky."
He didn't like the smell either.
Here is the finished product of Cohen's pumpkin.
He wasn't too willing to sit or look at the camera...
go figure!
 Halloween itself will be interesting!
We have a cute little costume for him
but everytime we attempt to put it on
he kicks and screams.
I am thinking there won't be a lot of
trick-or-treating this year!
We shall see...

Gus Gus

Gus Gus has joined Cohen's "must-have" list
when he goes to bed each night!
He has a room full of stuffed animals
and this little puppy was the lucky one
that he picked to sleep with him.
Gus Gus joins his nookie
(which we hope to get rid of soon),
and his two blankets.
At first his name started out as "puppy"
and then one day he started calling him Gus Gus.
Gus Gus comes from an older boy
at daycare that he adores.
He follows Gus (the real Gus) around the house
hollering his name and trying to get his attention.
It is pretty cute!
He likes Gus so much that he named
his puppy after him :)

with Gus Gus and one of his favorite blankets.

Speaking of sleeping at night...
Cohen has learned how to escape the crib...yikes!
Tonight he was up an entire hour later than normal
because he kept getting out.
I think we will be getting him into a bed soon!
Ugh...I have not looked forward to this day.
He is growing up too fast!!!

Last weekend the entire Chap family
got together for family pictures!
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!

Fall at the Chap's

Happy Fall!
Oh...how I love this time of year!
From the beautiful colors, to the crisp air,
to my yummy smelling fall candles...
I just love fall!
This year we had a pumpkin patch at our place
and we got tons of pumpkins.
I decided to get creative this year
with some of them!
I found Eric's wheelbarrow, got some straw,
found some cool pumpkins, and added in some
flowers I got as a gift from a student!
The FALL sign I added to the front of it
 tied it together nicely.
Thanks Whimsy Green for the cute sign!
I love how this turned out!
A few more of our pumpkins
and some corn stalks
to decorate the front porch.
Cohen got his very own pumpkin
with his name in it.
Eric etched in his name when the pumpkin
first started growing.
Pretty cool!
Cohen helped me put all the pumkins
in the wheelbarrow.
He liked the white one!
 Adjusting the corn
 Pretending to push the wheelbarrow!
Here are some more of the pumpkins we picked
from our patch last weekend.
We have been busy delivering pumpkins!
Cohen was a good helper loading them up yesterday.
...
Ah...yes!
Fall is here!
