36 weeks

36 week update...
Well, we have made it to our weekly dr. appt. check-ups...yay!
Our appointment went fairly well.
Baby Chap is measuring right on and his heartbeat was 139 bpm.
I am officially 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced.
Because the dr. could not be sure how our little guy was laying
we got another ultrasound!
Thankfully he is head down. His head is buried down quite low!
I got to see his little fuzzy hair and his eyes blinking!
He was moving around like crazy!
The only thing we are watching is my blood pressure.
I typically have low blood pressure but it rose quite a bit from my last appt.
I have had lots of swelling in my feet and a bit in my hands.
We are going to keep a close eye on it and hope that it goes back down!

After my appt. I spent the evening with Robyn!
We went wedding dress shopping, out to dinner,
and treated ourselves to manicures!
What a great Friday evening!

Remme Baby Shower

This past weekend my family threw me a baby shower!
It was a perfect day!
Wonderful weather, family, and friends to help celebrate the day.
Erin and my aunts were the wonderful hostesses of the shower.
They did a fabulous job!
Cohen's baby room doesn't have a theme,
but will be accented with a few train items.
They planned my shower to be a train themed party.
It was so cute!

for me, Cohen, and Eric.
We are so blessed to have such great family and friends!
We feel very fortunate that we have gotten so many wonderful gifts
to help us out for when the he arrives!
....
A special thank you to Erin for all of the
wonderful ideas, work, and time put into my shower!
It was amazing!!!

33 weeks

On Friday we reached 33 weeks!
I also had a Dr. appt. on Friday.
Just a quick check up to be sure we are still on track...
Baby Chap's heartbeat was a strong 145 BPM.
He did measure a little bit small this time.
A bit of a surprise since I have been measuring about a week ahead.
My belly was measuring 31 weeks.
No need to worry!
Since I had the flu last week I lost a few pounds.
That is what caused me to measure a little small.
He is still doing just fine!
...
On Saturday Eric and I spent the day at birthing classes.
We weren't quite sure what to expect
(and quite honestly expected it to be long and boring).
However, it was helpful and actually a little fun.
We had a great instructor and some fun couples
that made the day go quickly.
We got some good pointers that we can use!
And the best part...
I am thinking about paying for the class again
just so I can get another massage from Eric.
We spent a lot of time learning about relaxation techniques
and how the partner can comfort the mother.
Eric rubbed/tickled my back the longest
he ever has since we have been together!
That made the whole day well worth it:)
...
Less than 7 weeks!
It is really starting to become real now...
It won't be long before our little guy is here!

32 weeks

32 week update...
Well, we haven't had a dr. appt. yet,
but I thought I would give you an update
since it has been a while.
I continue to feel really well.
I have been very fortunate throughout this entire pregnancy.
No morning sickness, no major aches and pains, etc...
...
I did have a rough 31st week...
It started off with a fall down the stairs.
And I didn't only take myself down, but Carter too.
I went down on my back,
protecting my belly and Carter all the way down.
Thankfully Baby Chap, Carter, and I were all okay!
I am not very graceful on my feet these days.
A couple days after my fall,
my hands, feet, and legs started swelling.
Being on my feet all day at school will do that to a person!
A normal part of pregnancy.
Just not very pleasant!
And then I ended up with the flu!
I wasn't able to keep anything down (not even water)
for 2 days.
It was miserable!
Therefore, I am happy to leave week 31 behind me!
...
I have a dr. appt. next Friday.
I will update again next week!
